sioux Falls, SD - Emily Johnson’s (So.; Spencer, Iowa) response goal just 28 seconds after Waldorf’s only goal of the night lifted the University of Sioux Falls women’s soccer team (3-2-1 overall) to a 2-1 win tonight.

On a chilly night at the USF Soccer Complex, senior Megan Aanenson (Sioux Falls, S.D.) started the scoring for USF when she outsprinted several Warrior defenders to net her first goal of the season.
With the Warriors controlling the tempo of the match only a few minutes into the second half, Marina do Valle scored Waldorf’s only goal of the game.

The Cougars caught the Warriors off guard when they took the ball right back down the field and scored only 28 seconds after Waldorf’s goal. It is Johnson’s second goal of the season.

USF will be back in Great Plains Athletic Conference play on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at Mount Marty College in Yankton, S.D.
